We had a great time
We had a great time in the beautifully located house and were looked after very nicely by the neighbors. Of course the way to the house is a bit longer, but we knew that before booking and really enjoyed the peace and quiet and the sound of the sea. Reading relaxed on the balcony was just wonderful. Thank you for letting us be with you!

Exactly what we were looking for
Fairy Jane’s is a wonderful place. It is a bit secluded from the beach area of Sabang, but that was exactly what we were looking for, so perfect for us. The caretaker was sweet and brought coffee every morning. Remember a torch light for the way back to the house after dark, since it is a very dark road towards there. Expect the waves coming in to the shore, which is all part of the charm of staying in house instead of a resort. So if you’re a light sleeper, don’t forget your earplugs.

Good location
Good location next to the sea. Have to go past the local village and a lot of dogs to get there, but this was very clear in the instructions. Very dark at night so a torch is a must!

This place surprisingly had the most reliable WiFi
Great place for the backpacker-type! My sister and I came here on a whim and Fairy Jane hooked us up with some insider tips for getting to the underground river before the crowds. We stayed for two nights and is away from all the hubbub of the dock area. There is no air-conditioning, but cold showers and fans for those who wanna cool off backpacker style. Out of all the places we stayed in on the off-beaten track that offered WiFi, this place surprisingly had the most reliable WiFi despite its remote location. Would definitely recommend to those who want a “cabin” experience in the jungle.

Undisturbed and private stay

Its a lovely unique property
This is in an out of the way location. Top tip, take head torch for walking back to the property from the main restaurants. Dont leave the balcony door open overnight or you may get an unexpected visit in the night from the wildlife, we did which caused some searching in the night lol. Take water with you for drinking, no kettle. Crashing of the waves was helpful in falling asleep. The jungle canopy comes right down to the cottage and meets the sea a few steps away. Its a lovely unique property.

We had a great stay. Fairy’s father took care of us. We thank him from the bottom of our hearts for his great hospitality. Every morning he made us coffee and eggs and gave us the perfect stay. The house is super cute and well thought out. The location is out of town and you have to take a very dark, quite long walk after dinner. A flashlight makes sense here, as it is not a real path, rather a path. We can only recommend staying there. Thank you so much for the hospitality to Fairy‘s dad 🙂

The place was neat and tidy
We had a wonderful experience in Sabang and staying at Fairy Jane’s cottage. The place was neat and tidy, and as per her descriptions. A short 10min walk from the pier and restaurants, and away from the main tourist strip which was a nice escape. The accommodation can be accessed by an unpaved road. Suggest traveling with carry-able luggage or hiring a tricycle to help transport heavy bags. When we visited it was very hot and humid, Fairy Jane’s does not have hot water shower however this was not an issue and actually very refreshing to cool down. If you are after a different and more local experience, would highly recommend Fairy Jane’s cottage.

We felt very comfortable
Quiet little house by the sea + jungle. The house is small but nice. Everything you need can be found in the immediate vicinity. We felt very comfortable. We can only recommend the Underground River Tour. Sabang is not that touristy yet.

Perfect for exploring Sabang
Very cozy place to stay that is perfect for exploring Sabang for 1-2 days. Fairy Jane and her team or her family are very hard-working and helpful hosts. The accommodation is simple but totally adequate / functional. The cabin is spacious, clean and right on the sea. It takes 10 minutes to get to the city center.

We had a great time
We had a great time at Fairy Janes Cottage. Everything was super clean and nicely furnished. The only small negative point: it is a few minutes' walk from the pier (where you can also find restaurants etc.) to the accommodation. All in all, however, everything went really well and Fairy Jane helped with all questions.

I loved that I could only hear the waves
I really loved it. The place is so charming. I loved that I could only hear the waves and jungle noises from there. I love the whole rustic design but comfortable bed and nice balcony. It's probably thought mainly for couples but I still really enjoyed it.
